Peaking around 808/810 nm is one of the best wavelengths to achieve a combination of deeper penetration and cellular interaction. Cold lasers for pain treatment interact with deep cell mitochondria and cause an increase in cytochrome C oxidase and adenosine triphosphate, two key chemicals critical for PBMT. High-intensity therapeutic cold lasers can penetrate deep into the tissue layer and relieve deep muscle pain.
Note: 808 nm near-infrared laser light is invisible to the human eye.
